About Your Teacher
Emerald Ace is a Nottingham based burlesque performer and drama teacher with a passion for burlesque as a theatrical form.
PerformingEmerald has been creating and performing burlesque since late 2005, specialising in comedic and narrative burlesque. Emerald uses physicality, facial expression and movement, as well as soundtrack selection, costume, makeup and wigs to create distinctive, memorable characters.
Emerald had worked throughout the UK in her seven (and a half) years of performing burlesque, entertaining audiences at large and small events including Splendour Festival (Nottingham), The Wet Spot (Leeds), The Missy Malone and Friends Burlesque Revue (Milford Haven), Ministry of Burlesque's High Tease (Bath), The London Burlesque Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. TeachingEmerald is a qualified drama teacher with a Professional Graduate Certificate of Education (Lifelong Learning Sector) from Nottingham Trent University. Emerald has experience teaching BTEC Level two and three Performing Arts to students aged 16-24 and has taught performer focused and 'just-for-fun' burlesque workshops for adults.
